We believe that the $1.365 billion dollar football equipment industry is ripe for revolution in light of the recent surge in demand for increased player safety. Concern about the long-term health effects of playing football is higher now than it has ever been.

ASPIDA, L.L.C. (“ASPIDA” or the “Company”), a subsidiary of NXL, Inc. (“NXL”), was organized for the sole purpose of producing, distributing and marketing NXL designed, football-related products developed to reduce the severity of applied impact and forces that occur in contact sports particularly when players collide.

ASPIDA is exclusively licensed to market, a revolutionary new face-mask designed to fit the vast majority of helmets currently on the market. The introductory The Shield™ 1.0 is anticipated to be limited to youth and high school football programs as it is designed for use only by players weighing between 40 and 200 lbs. The next version, Centurion Shield™ 2.0 face-mask, is expected to be able to withstand the impact requirements generated by the mass and speed of adult players weighing up to 450 lbs.) The Shield™ 1.0 and the Centurion Shield 2.0 face-masks are unique in that they are not static (as are all other such products currently marketed). Rather, our patent-pending damper system allows it to absorb and redistribute the force of impact which would otherwise be passed onto the player.
