ASPIRA Association is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization that coordinates national programs through its National Office. The National Office provides technical assistance to state offices and serves as the association’s national voice, while supporting local offices in their direct work with students. It promotes program quality, raises the organization’s visibility, conducts research and disseminates analyses, and acts as a liaison to the federal government and professional organizations. The national programs ASPIRA coordinates are organized around Youth Leadership and Community Service, Educational Access and Careers, and Community Mobilization for Educational Excellence. The organization collaborates with state and local offices that work directly with students to advance leadership development, educational access, and career pathways. In 2022, John Villamil-Casanova was named President and Chief Executive Officer following the passing of Ronald Blackburn-Moreno.
