The business operates under banners such as Associated, Associated Fresh, Met Foods, Met Fresh, Metropolitan City Market, Pioneer, and others, serving independently owned stores. Headquartered in Port Washington, New York, ASG operates within the food and beverage services sector, focusing on independently operated grocers in its regional market. In 2026 the company opened new stores in Brooklyn and the Bronx, indicating ongoing expansion in its core area. It has also pursued technology partnerships to streamline supplier collaboration, notably integrating Simplain's StreamCollab platform in late 2025.
