Astra is an international not-for-profit trade association representing the specialty toy industry. Based in Chicago, Illinois, it was founded in 1992 and serves more than 1,900 independent retailers, manufacturers, and sales representatives. Its members emphasize healthy, quality play materials with high play value and designs that focus on what a child can do rather than what the toy can do. The organization provides networking opportunities, education, and access to discounts and services to help members grow their businesses.
