ASTRO America is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization operating in defense and space manufacturing. Based in Bethesda, Maryland, it collaborates with industry, government, and academic partners to develop Advanced Manufacturing Accelerators at key locations across the United States. Through its networks and approach to material qualification, the organization aims to support American defense production.

Its work serves government, industry, and academic customers by coordinating initiatives that enhance manufacturing capabilities for defense applications. In December 2025, ASTRO America announced a landmark partnership with the Colorado School of Mines and the University of Guam to establish the first satellite campus of a mainland U.S. university in Guam, including efforts to deliver a four-year mechanical engineering degree and to expand laboratory facilities with Navy sponsorship. These partnerships illustrate ASTRO America's role in expanding advanced manufacturing education and capabilities through multi-institution collaborations.
