In 1983, the Akron Storage and Warehouse was born under the leadership of Phil Maynard. Two decades later, the then-ASW Services was purchased by Cleveland Indians legend André Thornton, merged with his Global Promotions & Incentives company, and renamed ASW Global. Today, ASW Global operates over 500,000 sq. feet of shared warehouse space in the Akron/Mogadore area.
