Attend Systems designs and manufactures RackTRACK, a complete system to determine the real-time, precise location of rack mounted assets in data centers.  

RackTRACK is a rack accessory hardware system that does not require any software, other than a browser, in order to deliver immediate, real-time location information and to enable remotely activated LEDs at each rack U position for hands-and-eyes guidance.   Additional functionality is available using a simple application program that provides real-time alerts when assets are added or removed from a rack and the export  of  asset and location data to an excel spreadsheet.  At any time, RackTRACK can be integrated into other systems via SNMP, REST, Json, and Json-RPC.      

RackTRACK’s precise rack-U, real-time location information can immediately replace manual asset spreadsheets and eliminate the labor cost related to physical inventories and locating assets.  Equally important, accurate, reliable, precise rack-U location data dramatically enhances the core data center operating processes of change management, capacity planning,  security and asset management.   

RackTRACK consists of a plug-and-play, no rack-U, controller to monitor up to sixteen racks, a monitoring strip for each rack that is mounted on the rack post, and an asset tag for each rack asset.   Asset tags connect magnetically to the monitoring strip at the rack U position for highly reliable connectivity, and they have up to 1K of on-board storage that can be used to permanently store detailed information about each asset.   The monitoring strip and asset tags can be installed in most data center racks in about one hour.  The low cost of RackTRACK will often provide a return of investment in around six months in most cases.
