AUDI AG stands for sportiness, sophistication and progressiveness – and for “Vorsprung durch Technik.” Ever since it was established as August Horch & Cie. in 1899, the Company has achieved a whole series of successes. For example, it built the first passenger car to feature left-hand drive and a central gear lever, developed permanent all-wheel drive and unveiled the first volume-produced vehicle with an aluminum body. The quattro drive system – one of Audi’s hallmark technologies – celebrated its 30-year anniversary in 2010.

In the first quarter of 2011, AUDI AG once again recorded significant growth in its largest foreign market: The Company sold a total of 64,122 cars in China and Hong Kong, 24,6 percent more than in the corresponding prior-year period.

Sales of imported vehicles went up by 66,4 percent to a total of 11,481 units. The A8 L, which was launched in March, made a particularly impressive start, selling 1,655 units in March alone.

Audi Belgium is part of the D'Ieteren Group, with for over more than 200 years experience in the industry.
