Since 1883, Aurora Specialty Textiles Group, Inc., has evolved from its roots as a cotton-spinning mill in Aurora, Illinois, into one of the leading textile finishing operations in North America. Aurora is a global leader in bleaching, coating, dyeing and finishing of woven, non-woven and knit fabrics. The company has a tradition of innovation and in 2015 invested in a new state-of-the-art, wide-width coating and finishing line and a new facility in Yorkville, IL that dramatically expanded Aurora’s ability to serve customers. We offer extensive Product Development partnerships with our customers to develop new products to help our customers grow their business.  

Products include digitally-printable textiles, specialty home products, tape-backing products, military textiles, and technical textiles for a wide variety of industries. And we’ve emerged as a leader in one of the textile industry’s fastest growing market segments – digital printing. We provide printable textiles specially engineered to work optimally on today’s newest digital print platforms. This is in addition to Aurora's long-standing reputation as a leading manufacturer of textiles for industrial belting, and textile substrates for a variety of pressure sensitive tapes. 

Aurora is also an industry leader with regard to sustainable manufacturing practices and operational excellence. Aurora received the Valley Industrial Association (VIA) Spark Awards for Operational Excellence for the last 4 years (2020 - 2023). In 2022, Aurora also received the award for Social Responsibility. In addition to the Operational Excellence Award, Aurora was recognized with 3 additional Spark Awards for Innovation, Culture, and Workforce Development in 2023.
