The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, lead by charismatic Artistic Director Paul Dyer, celebrates music of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries with excellence, flair and joy. Made up of leading specialists from all around Australia, the orchestra performs using original edition scores and instruments of the period, breathing fresh life and colour into baroque and classical masterpieces – as though the music has just sprung from the composer’s pen. Since the beginning in 1989, we’ve become a leading voice in the Australian cultural landscape. We’ve won five ARIA awards for Best Classical Album (1998, 2001, 2005, 2009 and 2010), collaborated with some of the world’s leading talents, and performed more than 1,000 concerts nationwide. We perform in Sydney, Melbourne and in 2015 established a regular touring program to Brisbane. We also have a special commitment to perform in more regional parts of Australia. Since 2003, we’ve had the honour to be part of the Major Performing Arts Group. Together with our government and corporate partners, we work to extend performing arts throughout Australia.
