Who We Are & What We Do Ax Antiques & Trading Post is a long established, family owned and operated, company of the central Mississippi area. First established by Opher H Jones and wife Dot in 1982, it has recently been restructured and revived by the founder's family. Traditionally, we have dealt in furniture and all types of collectibles, including books, art, glassware, coins, jewelry, and unusual findings. Our refurbishing services in the past have included the repair and refinishing of antique furniture, mirror resilvering, doll re-stringing, jewelry fabrication, lamp repair, frame-work, sewing, and up-cycling pieces of old furnishings into something new that brings a charm and character from some place in history. Today, we still offer lamp and frame repair services while keeping many of our creative project ideas moving forward. However, at this time we are unable to take on large refurbishing projects and mirror resilvering jobs. We will update all our social pages when these services are offered once again.
