The Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) is Germany’s first state-supported dual higher education institution, founded on March 1, 2009. It operates across twelve locations in Baden-Württemberg and links academic study with paid work at partner organizations, offering bachelor and master programs to about 35,000 students. The university collaborates with more than 9,000 selected dual partners, including businesses as well as social and health-related institutions, which recruit students, sign three-year contracts, and provide ongoing monthly stipends. System accreditation established in 2011 and reaffirmed in 2019 underpins its quality management, and the institution presents itself as an adaptable partner for companies and social organizations navigating change. In April 2026, Schönbrunn TASC began collaborating with the DHBW in Stuttgart, illustrating active expansion of its external partnerships.
