BAWAC serves adults with disabilities or other barriers to employment through rehabilitation and employment opportunities. BAWAC also serves the business and industrial community by providing a skilled workforce, production and manufacturing services. At BAWAC, Inc., we believe everyone deserves a chance to maximize their potential and achieve their goals. We are here to offer personalized guidance and support to those facing barriers to employment, helping to create life-changing opportunities. The mission of BAWAC is to develop and maximize the vocational potential and quality of life of adult persons with disabilities or other barriers to employment, through the flexible integration of life and work skills training, job placement, support services and employment in a therapeutic or community based remunerative work environment. BAWAC, Inc., is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose policies and goals are determined by a board of directors. An active cross section of the community sits on the board. No applicant for service at BAWAC will be denied on the basis of race, ethnic origin, religion, sex, handicap, disabled veteran or veteran of the Vietnam era. BAWAC Community Rehabilitation Center began in March 1973, with assistance and start-up funding from disability advocacy groups across Northern Kentucky. BAWAC, Inc., was established to serve people with disabilities or other barriers to employment through rehabilitation and employment opportunities. The vehicle for rehabilitation is the work itself. BAWAC also serves the business and industrial community by providing an appropriately skilled workforce, production and manufacturing services.
