Funding Expansion Projects Recent financial boosts, including grants for environmental projects and infrastructure upgrades, suggest a strong investment appetite for new initiatives. This provides a pathway to offer project management software, environmental tech, or construction-related technology solutions tailored for municipal expansion and sustainability efforts.

Community Engagement and Governance The launch of the Community Governance Review and participation in community events highlight an emphasis on stakeholder engagement. This presents opportunities for community engagement platforms, data collection tools, or public consultation software that can streamline local government interactions with residents.

Operational Resilience Needs Past operational disruptions, such as equipment failures at crematoria, underscore the need for asset management, maintenance technology, or contingency planning solutions that can improve operational resilience and reduce service downtime for local government facilities.

Sustainability and Environment Funding received for planting greenery demonstrates a priority on environmental sustainability. This creates potential sales prospects for environmental monitoring systems, smart infrastructure for green initiatives, or sustainability reporting tools that help the council track and expand its eco-friendly projects.

BCP Council

Government AdministrationEngland, United Kingdom1001-5000 Employees

From 1 April 2019, BCP Council is responsible for all local government services in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

We provide services to around 400,000 residents from Hamworthy and Broadstone in the west to Highcliffe in the east - the twelfth largest resident population of any council in England. This scale means a higher percentage of our budget can be spent on frontline services, and less on management overheads and back-office support.

As a new, large council, only created in April 2019, we have an opportunity to think as one area for business, growth, and the prosperity of all who live here. Our scale means we can more easily plan for, bid for and win extra funding for things that are important to the people who live and work in BCP, such as housing, roads and schools.

We’re going through a period of great change – reviewing how we deliver services and how we make sure this fantastic area of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole continues to thrive.
