Formerly known as Bishop Arts & Media, parent company of BAM Productions, BEAM Global Media has its origins in journalism, film, television, music and live theater. Principal Snowden Bishop launched BAM in Los Angeles in 1996 when she exited corporate entertainment to pursue creative projects on her own in partnership with filmmakers, theatrical directors and other producers. BAM became known for ingenious marketing of its creative projects, evidenced by the runaway success of sleeper hits like White Trash Wins Lotto. As a result, it branched into creative marketing for other filmmakers and producers. 

In time, it garnered a client following of socially and environmentally-conscious companies seeking to gain a foothold in the sustainability movement. With a cache of environmental writings in mainstream media to her credit, Bishop collaborated with creative designer, Rebecca Edwards, to launch AZGreen Magazine, BEAM's first publication, and later launched Sustainability in Education and Friends of Africa Magazine. 

In 2012, BEAM partnered with Star Simmons, visionary entrepreneur and CEO of Threads of Connection, a strategic development business. With a clear vision of bringing sustainability issues to mainstream, the company has evolved to provide a full spectrum of creative, editorial and publishing services to socially conscious enterprises, international nonprofit organizations and as well as education, conservation and environmental advocacies with shared objectives.

Today, BEAM is expanding its portfolio with additional niche market publications and forming alliances with like-minded publishers to further its mission to enlighten the world, one word at a time and is executive producer of the first-ever streaming presentation of Life is Beautiful, a music, food, art and learning festival in Downtown Las Vegas. BEAM provides pro-bono services to Friends of Africa International, World Trust Foundation and other nonprofits aligned with its purpose.
