Beckson Manufacturing was founded in 1955 to produce Thirsty-Mate®, the world’s first dependable, self-priming, all plastic bilge pump for boaters. Following the success of the Thirsty-Mate, Beckson continued to pioneer the use of such plastics as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Teflon®, Lexan®, polypropylene, and others for the marine industry, while receiving multiple patents and trademarks for their innovative products. 

Responding to customer demand, in 1979, Beckson Industrial was incorporated to produce pumps and accessories for a variety of other industries, including agriculture, dairy, sports and recreational, sanitary services, and automotive. Millions of pumps and many varieties later, our registered trademark original red and gray colors and T-shape pump handle are recognized throughout the world wherever hand pumps are used. 

Beckson hand pumps are also recognized for their superior performance. We’re not surprised by their trouble-free durability. We make them to exacting standards and to comply with appropriate safety regulations. Continuous testing, refinement, and development result in the most dependable, high quality products to suit the requirements of our customers.
