The medicinal cannabis varieties that Bedrocan produces are used as an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API). Standardised, pharmaceutical-grade medicinal cannabis is the most suitable raw material for the production of THC or CBD isolates, full-spectrum cannabis oil or CBD oil, ointments and other cannabis-based products for medicinal use (CBPMs). It is also used as an Investigational Medical Product in clinical research.

Today, Bedrocan produces five pharmaceutical-grade cannabis products or plant varieties for medicine development, patients and clinical use.
These products are delivered to pharmaceutical manufacturers by the Dutch Office of Medicinal Cannabis (OMC). The OMC also makes sure that patients with a doctor´s prescription can obtain this medicinal cannabis at Dutch pharmacies.

Bedrocan strives to bridge the gap between patients' needs and the quality standards of modern medicine. We do this through an active research program and a commitment to sharing our knowledge through scientific publication. 
 
Availability/Supply
In the Netherlands, Bedrocan produces medicinal cannabis for the Dutch Ministry of Health under a framework agreement. The Dutch Office of Medicinal Cannabis supplies our products to several international governments that make medicinal cannabis available under special access conditions as an unapproved drug.
