Bedtime Math Foundation is a small nonprofit focused on improving children's math learning by making it accessible, engaging, and practical. It serves families and schools through free resources available at home and after school, delivered via its apps and website for children aged 3 to 9. Each daily prompt starts with a brief setup story and presents three problems spanning five levels of difficulty, encouraging brief, regular math discussions at home. The organization also runs Crazy 8s, an after-school math club for K–5 students that emphasizes hands-on activities and is designed to appeal to all kids, not just those who already enjoy math. Evidence cited by researchers indicates positive outcomes. A study published in Science Magazine linked Bedtime Math activities with lasting improvements in math performance. A Johns Hopkins University study found that participation in Crazy 8s reduces math anxiety among elementary students. In 2022, the foundation launched Be Part of the Equation, a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about ongoing challenges in math education. The Bedtime Math Foundation is based in Summit, New Jersey.
