Founded in 1995 by a group of recent college graduates, Education First provides need-based college scholarships to high school seniors wishing to earn a degree. We offer our program in communities across the country where local volunteers interview and ultimately select our scholars. In each community we serve, we identify three partner high schools where students compete locally for scholarships that can apply towards tuition or books.

WHY ARE WE UNIQUE: Most scholarships target the top students or best athletes. We are more interested in awarding students who have overcome significant life life challenges, have strength of character and a vision for their future. Oftentimes, our scholars are the first in their families to earn a degree.

TAKE AN ACTIVE ROLE: We continually seek new volunteers and funders who would like to give the gift of higher education. Contact us at info@educationfirst.org to get involved or bring our program to your community.
