Behavioral Healthcare Providers (BHP) is a non-profit organization that has an established network of more than 5,500 behavioral providers, programs, and hospitals offering quality mental health and chemical health services.  At BHP, it is our goal to connect patients with providers who help them achieve their maximum behavioral health potential. We take great effort to ensure that our contracted providers are appropriately educated, trained, and are in good standing with their respective professions. Our Primary Access service connects patients seen at their primary care clinics with behavioral providers through our secure, web-based scheduling tool (SchedulR®) to provide better outcomes and decrease the overall cost of behavioral services.  The Diagnostic Evaluation Center (DEC®) Program provides an assessment by an independently licensed mental health professional, appropriate level of care determination, assistance in accessing that service, and post-assessment follow up for patients experiencing a behavioral crisis.  BHP is an NCQA accredited Managed Behavioral Healthcare Organization (MBHO)that demonstrates to health plans, employers, regulators and consumers that an organization follows evidence-based practices for providing high-quality care, access and consumer protection. BHP partners with hospitals, care systems, and community providers to ensure that our patients’ behavioral health care needs are met within the continuum of care.
