Benchmark Beverage Company is a Michigan-based beverage manufacturer and distributor founded in 2016. The privately owned business focuses on developing, growing, and marketing beverage brands, ranging from established spirits such as Padre Azul tequila to beer brands including Dark Horse and Brew Detroit, and emerging labels like Great America flavored malt beverages. Its portfolio is designed to offer distributors a broad spectrum of products at varying price points, with an emphasis on delivering value to consumers through quality options across product segments. Located in Livonia, the company operates within the beverage industry with a regional footprint that includes involvement in importing and expanding brand presence, and it has pursued acquisitions to broaden its brand and asset base, including the recent integration of the Altes Detroit Brewing Company and, earlier, Brew Detroit and Roak Brewing Co. These developments indicate a strategy of growing and diversifying its brand portfolio through acquisitions and partnerships while maintaining its focus on the Michigan market and beyond.
