Located on Maryland's Scenic Eastern Shore and founded in 1959, Benedictine is a non-sectarian service provider supporting individuals living with developmental disabilities. It is one of the few year-round comprehensive integrated service providers in Maryland for children and adults ages 5 to 70+ living with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and autism. Benedictine supports individuals from all over Maryland and the whole Mid-Atlantic region so they can achieve their greatest potential and highest level of independence in a compassionate and caring environment. The Benedictine School offers a 12 month, co-ed day and residential school for students between the ages of 5 and 21. The Adult Services program offers community living, job training, employment, and meaningful day services for ages 21 to 70+. Nationally recognized and accredited, Benedictine is certified by the Developmental Disabilities Administration, Maryland State Department of Education, and the Department of Human Services.
