Niche PR Focus A small civil engineering PR firm specializing in transportation-related public involvement presents an opportunity to upsell broader communications services to larger transportation agencies, design firms, and public sector clients seeking integrated stakeholder engagement and rapid response capabilities.

Tech Enablement Utilizes a modern tech stack (AWS, Google Workspace, React, OpenResty, Nginx) that supports scalable digital outreach and data-driven campaigns; potential to offer analytics, automation, and web/mobile engagement tools to improve public involvement and project updates for clients.

Growth Readiness Small team size signals high agility but limited capacity; there is an opportunity to propose managed services, subcontracted public affairs resources, or percent-of-project fee models to support larger transportation projects and expand bid competitiveness.

Market Positioning Competitive landscape includes large, well-known agencies; Bergmaier can differentiate with specialized transportation public involvement expertise, regional focus, and cost-efficient delivery to smaller municipalities and mid-size design-build projects.

Revenue Opportunity Revenue scale suggests room to expand through retainer-based client programs, recurring communications updates, crisis and media relations for transportation projects, and alliances with larger firms seeking niche public involvement partners.
