Based in Somerville, Massachusetts, Berkshire Mountain Distillers operates a craft distillery in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The company produces a lineup of small-batch, artisanal spirits, including Greylock Gin, Ethereal Gins, Ragged Mountain Rum, Ice Glen Vodka, Berkshire Bourbon, and New England Corn Whiskey. Production relies on historic spring waters sourced from a protected granite mountain near the Appalachian Trail and on locally sourced materials where possible. It is described as the area's first legally sanctioned distillery since prohibition.

As a small team, it targets retailers and hospitality venues seeking high-quality, regionally produced spirits and reinforces its artisanal stance through collaborations like the Craft Brewers Whiskey Project. In 2022 it partnered with Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. for an Elf Invasion Pub Crawl, reflecting engagement with the local community.
