Bethel College, launched in 1947, is an urban-situated, evangelical institution affiliated with the Missionary Church. Bethel is composed of 1,650 includes students from 27 states, more than 20 denominations and 23 percent from culturally diverse backgrounds, with 250 full-time employees. Her city is home to 250,000 residents, five colleges (including Notre Dame), the second largest shopping district in the state of Indiana, 15,000 businesses, 50 parks, and Mishawaka's own renovated, 3-mile Riverwalk development.
