Big I Oklahoma is a trade association serving Oklahoma’s insurance industry. It is the state’s largest insurance trade association, with nearly 450 independent insurance agency members representing more than 3,000 agents and their employees. The organization supports the business interests of independent agencies through education, political engagement, and other programs, and it advocates before legislative, regulatory, and judicial bodies in Oklahoma and at the federal level. Founded in 1906 as the Oklahoma Association of Local Fire Insurance Agents, the group is headquartered in Oklahoma City, where a board elected at the annual convention sets policy and a professional staff implements it. Its mission centers on acting in the public interest and advancing the needs of independent agents in education, politics, and business. In May 2025, Big I Oklahoma participated in the EmpowerHER conference, highlighting ongoing engagement in industry events.
