BIMCO is the world's largest international shipping association, with around 2,100 members in 120 countries, representing two-thirds of the world’s tonnage. 

Our global membership includes shipowners, operators, managers, brokers, and agents. BIMCO is a non-profit organisation.

We are a non-profit organisation and have three areas of work:

- We’ve been creating contracts and clauses since 1905. We believe that standardised terms create equality, fairness and support business, and we believe this matters.

- We work to promote transparent and non-discriminatory standards and harmonisation within the shipping industry.

- We offer a range of products in support of the wider shipping industry, not just our members, from our maritime training courses, our online contract editor SmartCon, ship performance tool SHIP PI and BIMCO publications.
