BIMCON INC is a privately held software and Services Company founded in March 2000 that provides trusted strategic and technical expertise to the Automotive Industry in Process Re-Engineering, Requirements/functional Specification Development, Analytical Characterizations, Methods Development and Validation focusing on the product development process.

Innovation:
BIMCON has been a thought-leader in articulating the vision, the approach and the solutions in Product Lifecycle Management for Automotive product development. BIMCON has conceptualized pioneering solutions in the areas of CAx, PLM and Machine Learning/AI. In addition to Industry, BIMCON was awarded 3 Federal NIST grants which have led to PLM-focused publications and engineering solutions for the automotive industry.

Implementation
BIMCON has performed wide-ranging work in process re-engineering, incorporating technological enablers, configuring and customizing vendor offerings in automotive product development. This has included visioning, developing value proposition, benchmarking of tool capabilities and evaluating the appropriate solutions to deploy. BIMCON has played a significant role, as a strategist, in developing the Ford’s Corporate Verification Process, Ford’s Global Resource Planning Process, in incorporating analytical evaluations into corporate product development processes, both at Ford Motor Company (GPDS process) and at Nissan (VPP process). 

BIMCON has had engagements with major automotive OEMs (Ford, Nissan and GM), Strategy Consultants (Deloitte, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants), System Integrators (CSC-Covansys and Siemens), and a number of automotive suppliers.
