BioTX Automation, Inc. engages in the development, manufacture, and marketing of personal automation tools for use with reagent kits, and for error elimination in forensic, life sciences research, drug discovery, microarray, and diagnostics labs, as well as biological product manufacturers. BioTX operates in three market segments, Lab Products, Custom Automation and Marketing Tools. The Lab Product segment provides personal automation systems for the eradication of Fillaphobia (the fear of putting the wrong sample into the wrong well of a microplate) in DNA forensic, molecular biology, cell biology, and drug discovery labs. The Custom Automation product line includes rapid prototyped tools used with robots to automate various lab protocols. In addition, this segment provides custom engineering and instrument integration services. We have developed robotic tooling for blood card punching and Petri dish plating. The Marketing Tools segment offers an on-line web based searchable database of life sciences researchers, as well as researcher lists by keyword and emailing services for companies that sell to life science researchers. The company offers its products to the life sciences research market and the biopharmaceutical production market directly, and through distributors or agents in approximately 6 countries. BioTX was founded in 2003 and is based 35 miles north of Houston in Conroe, Texas.
