BioUtah is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(6) trade association based in Utah that serves the state's life sciences community through events, advocacy, media, and connectivity. It represents a diverse membership comprising manufacturers and developers of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and biotechnology, along with government, academic, and healthcare institutions, as well as national trade associations and service providers. The organization works to advance health care innovation by pursuing legislative initiatives at state and federal levels, increasing awareness of the industry’s economic contributions, and fostering educational forums and collaboration among members.
With more than 225 members, BioUtah aims to strengthen Utah's life sciences ecosystem and support research, innovation, and job creation through its programming and partnerships. In 2026, BioUtah co-hosted a Shark Tank-style pitch competition at the Wilson Sonsini Entrepreneur & Investor Life Sciences Summit, demonstrating its role in connecting early-stage companies with investors and collaborators.
