BioVinc, LLC is a privately owned R&D company located in Pasadena, California. BioVinc offers the new fluorescent molecular probes targeting bone, based on technology developed by Professor Charles E. McKenna at the University of Southern California. The probes are derived from nitrogen-containing bisphosphonates such as risedronate (RIS) and zoledronate (ZOL), including lower affinity analogues, conjugated with a wide choice of popular visible and near infrared fluorescent dyes to address different imaging needs. Custom “mix-and-match” bisphosphonate-dye pairings are also available on request. The BioVinc research team has also developed a series of potential drug and diagnostic leads with strong IP and in vivo proof of concept data. Development projects for the treatment of bone infections and osteomyelitis, bone cancers, and other bone related disease states are underway. The development of bone selective diagnostic probes for clinical use is also showing promise. The BioVinc team includes world-leading scientists on bisphosphonate chemistry, microscopy and pharmacology related to bone and bone diseases, whose expertise is at the disposal of our customers. The probes have been used in diverse imaging studies including research on bone metabolism, cancer and dental conditions. By providing both off-the-shelf imaging probes and individually tailored probe design services, BioVinc can help with all aspects of your research needs.
