Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School is a Catholic, coeducational secondary school based in Arlington, Virginia, United States. It operates as a community of students, faculty, administrators, and staff that partners with families, parishes, and the broader community to educate young people and encourage them to live the Gospel. The school recognizes five dimensions of the person—spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical—and aims to foster spiritual development within a compassionate, Gospel-oriented environment that emphasizes service. The faculty provide quality academic instruction designed to develop reasoning, clear expression, and engagement with ideas, while tailoring teaching to the needs of individual students to build confidence and readiness for the challenges of society. In 2026, the school named Jonathan Brand as head of school, with the appointment taking effect July 1.
