In November 1999, Black Hawk Country Club (then known as The Houstonian Golf & Country Club) made its debut alongside Shadow Hawk Golf Club on 450 pristine acres that once boasted a serene pecan orchard and natural fed lake.

Originally founded by The Redstone Companies, The Houstonian Golf & Country Club opened as a resort amenity to members and guests of The Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa. In 2001, The Houstonian Golf & Country Club introduced its private membership offering and has successfully grown into one of Houston’s top private country clubs and golf destinations.

Black Hawk Country Club takes great pride in its fine amenities and has gone through several capital improvements and expansions with the most recent completed in 2008. The expansion of the sport and recreation amenities included the addition of a second heated sport pool with lap lanes and therapeutic hot tub, The Oasis Bar & Grille offering pool-side dining, two lighted tennis courts, group exercise studio and expansion of the Kid's Clubhouse childcare facility. The fitness center was upgraded with the additions of upgraded cardiovascular, circuit strength, free-weight strength equipment and several flat screen televisions. The final phase of the expansion included the addition of The Spa at Black Hawk offering luxurious spa services and treatments for its members and guests. 

Of its most notable events, Black Hawk Country Club was the proud host of the 2006 Nationwide Tour Championship, the 2009 LPGA Tour Championship presented by Rolex and  co-hosted the 2011 U.S. Mid Amateur Championship  along with our sister club, Shadow Hawk Golf Club.
