Black Shoe Hospitality is a Milwaukee-based group of restaurants that emphasizes wholesome food and genuine hospitality. Since 2007, the portfolio has expanded from Maxie’s, known for Southern-inspired flavors, to Blue’s Egg + Bakery, a modern American brunch concept with its own bakery, and Story Hill BKC, a neighborhood restaurant focused on seasonal cooking and a built-in bottle shop. In April 2020, the Shorewood location of Blue’s Egg was permanently closed, with plans to open a different restaurant at that site later.
