Blacktop is a brand experience firm located in Kansas City, Missouri. We were founded in 2001, and are a partner company with Barkley, the largest employee-owned advertising agency in the U.S. We also ride scooters. We play our music too loudly. And shoot each other with Nerf guns. But that’s because we like each other too much not to have a little fun at our own expense. What is brand experience you say? Your brand doesn’t live in a box— safely protected by the image you create for it. Your brand is out there in the world. People aren’t just trying your brand. They’re trying your brand and letting everyone know about it. They get involved. They participate. And these participants care about the role brands play in their lives.
