Every company has a story.  How it got its start, the event that led to its rise, and the people that have made it all possible.  Some are interesting, some are unique, and if we are being honest, some are utterly unremarkable.  Most often, these stories are told from the perspective of looking back.  

The Blue Harbor story is actually best told looking forward.  We haven’t had our “big moments” just yet.  Sure, we have a chapter on our origin.  In fact, it goes something like this: in 2012 Fortress Investment Group purchased eight senior living communities and a management company.  We named the management company Blue Harbor and set out to grow a portfolio of outstanding senior housing communities.  We found some great people to join our spunky little upstart and through acquisitions expanded to more than 20 communities in 13 states.  However, that is just the beginning.

You see, our key moments and big events are still in front of us.  Yeah, we are a relatively young company, but our team has decades of experience in the senior housing industry.  This is a growing industry and we see the opportunities and the challenges ahead.  More importantly, we are building a team to help us forge ahead and create a truly special company that will make a positive impact on the lives of thousands of seniors and their families.  

Today, Blue Harbor operates outstanding senior housing communities that offer independent living, assisted living, and memory care services.  Our communities become “home” for our residents and their families.  We treat them, and each other, like family.  And with family, comes loyalty, commitment, and concern.  It’s a responsibility that we take very seriously and it’s what makes us 100% True Blue.
