Bluebonnet Data, based in the District of Columbia, operates within the political organizations arena. Founded in 2018, it mobilizes data and technology talent to support progressive campaigns and causes. To date, it has backed more than 500 campaigns ranging from school-board races to the U.S. Senate and trained over 1,200 fellows. In August 2022, Bluebonnet Data launched the Campaign Tech Fellowship to help down-ballot campaigns adopt and use technology effectively. It collaborates with partner groups such as VoteProChoice, Emerge, Her Term, Doctors in Politics, and Run For Something to support women and other progressive candidates. The organization employs a small to mid-sized team focused on building capacity for progressive political efforts.
