Bluegrass Land Conservancy is a nonprofit land trust focused on permanent conservation of land in Kentucky’s Bluegrass region through conservation easements. Founded in 1995, the organization aims to preserve soils, cultural heritage, scenic vistas, natural resources, and farms for future generations, supported by community involvement. With accreditation as the first land trust in Kentucky, it operates across Kentucky’s two most populated areas, prioritizing farmland, wildlife habitat, water quality, and open space to sustain the region’s quality of life. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, the Conservancy has helped permanently protect more than 33,000 acres and emphasizes education and promotion of land conservation for agriculture, historic and cultural heritage, and natural resources. In recent activity, it was named Official Charity of the 2019 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event.
