BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. (BBA) is a joint venture between BMW Group and Brilliance Group established to manage BMW’s development, manufacturing, sales and after-sales services for the Chinese market. It operates a production facility in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, with branch offices in Beijing and Shanghai and a subsidiary named Lingyue Digital Information Technology Ltd. The company employs a sizeable workforce and has been the top taxpayer in Shenyang for sixteen consecutive years. In 2021, BBA produced more than 700,000 BMW cars, making it the largest producer of premium vehicles in China that year. It runs a national network of around 683 BMW outlets to support its sales and service activities. Based in China, the company covers the full value chain for BMW-brand vehicles—from research and development through procurement, production and after-sales services. It operates in the motor vehicle manufacturing industry and serves the domestic market via its extensive sales and service footprint. A 2025 development notes a partnership with Momenta Group to co-develop intelligent driving assistance solutions for the Chinese market, reflecting ongoing collaboration in advancing mobility technology.
