BookSpring gives books, tools and reading experiences to children and their families so that they can develop a desire to read and succeed in life. Our vision is a community in which all children have the opportunity to become literate. BookSpring works through schools, libraries, childcare centers, and clinics to distribute books to low income children from birth through age 12. We also provide parent engagement and professional development programs for medical personnel and educators throughout the Austin community to encourage best practices in reading aloud activities between adults and children. ReBook, our gently used book program, collects gently used children's books from the public and partners with dozens of local organizations to get high quality, developmentally appropriate children's books into the hands of kids!
