Boulder Creek Fire Protection District is a volunteer organization that provides emergency first response for fire, medical, and rescue emergencies in Boulder Creek, California, and Brookdale, California.  BCFD specialized in emergency and rescue training that is adapted to our unique urban interface region into the wilderness.  We train for high angle rope rescue systems, vehicle extrication, and wildland fire fighting.  BCFD participates in seasonal state-wide fire strike teams each year, as well as mutual aid to our neighboring communities to the south, and CalFire's wilderness zone to the north, east, and west.  The majority of our emergency response is to medical emergencies, and vehicle accidents.  BCFD is a progressive department employing the latest firefighting and rescue technologies.  BCFD has become a model training foundation for many career emergency responders.  BCFD hosts many training opportunities year round including an internship through the local high school.
