BOX Exchange LLC (“BOX” or “the Exchange”) is a national securities exchange registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission under Section 6 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The Exchange is owned by a consortium of firms and was launched in 2012. The Exchange currently oversees one facility, the BOX Options Market LLC (“BOX Options”), an equity options market with both electronic and floor-based trading. BOX Exchange is responsible for regulating and monitoring activities on any of its facilities to ensure compliance with Exchange rules and federal securities laws.
