Boylan Bottling's story begins in 1891, when pharmacist William Boylan, created an elixir in his New Jersey apothecary. He named that serum Boylan's Birch Beer and began selling individual cups from a barrel in the back of a horse-drawn wagon. Still, family-owned and operated, the Boylan Bottling Company is now headquartered in New York City. While the Boylan Bottling Company portfolio has grown to include MASH, Boylan Heritage, Boylan Seltzer, and a line of premium fountain sodas, the company is still best known for its cane sugar-sweetened soda packaged in an old-fashioned, long-neck glass bottle, embossed with the Boylan Bottling name, right up front! The Boylan Bottling portfolio is available nationwide through a robust distribution network comprised of independent direct-store-delivery operations, foodservice and grocery broadliners, as well as specialty distributors.
