Bradley Angle was founded in 1975 by a group of Black and queer women, trans folks, sex workers, and other oppressed identities who had enough violence for a lifetime and were ready to change their lives. Named in honor of Sharon Bradley and Pam Angle — who died from the violence of living on the streets in Portland, Oregon — Bradley Angle was the first domestic violence shelter established on the West Coast. Today, we provide a continuum of domestic violence and sexual assault support services for survivors and their children in Multnomah County, OR. We serve individuals and families of all backgrounds, cultures, ages, and sexual orientations.
