The Breadcoin nonprofit hopes to alleviate hunger and transform the act of giving into a dignified experience with the invention of its Breadcoin token. Breadcoin administers the community food token that can be given away to those in need and redeemed at participating food vendors. The Breadcoin token is designed to change the way we give, the way communities interact, and the way communities are able to invest. Breadcoin facilitates a network of participating individuals, businesses, churches and other religious organizations, service organizations and nonprofits to ensure the hungry are fed. It equips the community with a payment system that allows members of the community to feed one another. This happens through members (monthly donors) who put the coins into DC, Baltimore, PA Capital Region, and Tampa, FL neighborhoods most in need. We will expand to other cities.
