Breast Cancer Action (BCAction) is a national grassroots organization focused on education and advocacy to advance health justice for women at risk of and living with breast cancer. It acts as a watchdog within the breast cancer movement, informing the public and organizing for systemic change across three areas: enhancements in screening, diagnosis, and treatment; addressing the root causes of breast cancer; and examining pink ribbon marketing and culture. The group treats breast cancer as a social justice issue and a public health crisis, asserting that broad public health gains require policy and systemic interventions beyond individual actions. It maintains a policy of not accepting funding from any entity that profits from or contributes to cancer, prioritizing patients over profits. 

Based in San Francisco, California, BCAction operates on a national scale with a small staff. In 2024, it expanded collaborative efforts through partnerships, including engagements with Niramai Health Analytix Pvt Ltd and a collaboration with the University of Sydney to develop a text messaging program called Text Me Healthy, aimed at providing information, advice, and support on topics such as mental health, physical activity, and wellbeing.
