Brescia University is a small Catholic liberal arts university located in Owensboro, Kentucky. Rooted in the Ursuline tradition, it emphasizes a learning environment that blends tradition with a focus on personal growth. The university offers major programs in business, education, social work, life sciences, accounting, and psychology, and is noted for strengths in theology, English, and the creative and liberal arts. Its core philosophy centers on respect for the sacred, commitment to learning, development of virtue, and servant leadership, guiding graduates into leadership roles that serve others.

In 2026 Brescia announced a partnership with Oakland City University to support undergraduate students affected by OCU's suspension of programs, illustrating its commitment to regional access to education. The campus, whose Bearcat mascot is a familiar symbol, serves a mid-sized community in the Owensboro region and sustains a Catholic liberal arts tradition.
