British Dressage is the United Kingdom's national governing body for dressage, the Olympic and Paralympic equestrian discipline. Based in Birmingham, England, it operates as a mid-sized organization that coordinates competition, training and participation for riders from grassroots to elite levels. The body seeks to be widely respected as an inclusive sporting organization that emphasizes harmony between riders and their horses. In 2024, British Dressage partnered with Virtus ETF Advisers and SportExcel UK to create new opportunities for athletes with intellectual impairments, expanding access within para dressage. This collaboration aligns with its broader effort to broaden participation and progression pathways in dressage. BD continues to provide competition, training and participation activities for riders at all levels in the UK.
