The British Judo Association is the official national governing body for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of judo in Great Britain. It operates as a membership organization delivering judo through a network of clubs and qualified coaches across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, encompassing just under 900 clubs. Its activities span governance, coaching, events, technical development, welfare, and the promotion of the sport, covering everything from grassroots participation to Olympic-level competition. Based in Walsall, the association runs its Olympic and Paralympic National Training Centre from the University of Wolverhampton’s Walsall Campus. In June 2026, it announced the appointment of Olympic Development Coaches as part of its World Class Performance Programme.
