Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) is a historic performing arts center located in Brooklyn, New York. Founded in 1859, it has occupied Fort Greene since 1908 and is recognized as the oldest continuously operating venue of its kind in the United States. BAM stages live music, dance, theater, and related performance, complemented by a year-round film program and curated series. It reaches more than half a million New Yorkers annually with its programming.

Based in Brooklyn and serving a broad audience, BAM has historically supported work that pushes the boundaries of performance and cinema. In early 2026, the organization announced leadership changes, naming Tamara McCaw as president and Amy Cassello as creative director, with Cassello set to assume the role on September 23, 2026.
